Having received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, having been baptized and being in agreement with the mission and doctrine of this church body, I now commit myself to God and the other members of the First Baptist Church at Pedricktown and pledge to do the following:
I will serve the Church, my community and the world
By using all of the spiritual gifts which God has given to me (I Peter 4:10)
By giving regularly and cheerfully to support the ministry of the Church (1 Corinthians 16:2)
By developing a servant’s heart (Philippians 2:3-7)
I will share in the witness of the Church
By praying for its growth (I Thessalonians 1:2-3)
By inviting un-churched persons to attend this Church (Luke 14:23)
By warmly welcoming persons who visit the Church (Romans 12:13)
By presenting a positive Christian example at all times (Philippians 1:22)
I will protect the unity of this Church
By acting in love toward other members of the Church (I Peter 1:22)
By encouraging and building up other members of the Church (Ephesians 4:29)
By honoring the leaders of the Church (Hebrews 13:17)
By seeking to reconcile with members of the Church who have offended me. (Colossians 3:12-14)
I will seek the spiritual transformation of myself and my family
By maintaining daily personal and family devotions (Colossians 4:2)
By educating my children in the Christian faith (Deuteronomy 4:9)
By seeking the salvation of my family members and acquaintances (Matthew 28:19)
By regularly attending worship services (Hebrews 10:25)
I will witness the love of Christ
By having compassion for those in need (Matthew 25:34-40)
By honoring my commitments (Numbers 30:2)
By dealing fairly and truthfully with other persons (Romans 12:17)
