Happy New Year! The coming of 2010 brings a new year and a new decade. 2010 will be an important year for our church. Last year we identified a vital need---for us to intentionally seek God's vision and will for the ministry and future of our congregation. Churches can get in comfortable places and live life on auto-pilot which causes us to miss challenges and opportunities God puts before us.
We have enlisted Rev. Chuck Jensen, a pastor in Coatesville, PA, to lead us through a five step process in discovering the church God wants us to become. I expect it to be a challenging and exciting process with the expectation that First Baptist Church will become more effective in sharing the love of Christ with those outside our congregation.
